So there I am, surfing the web one day. I decide to see what’s happening on Facebook, and there’s this picture someone has posted on my page.
It’s of this girl – a fighter. She’s standing in the cage, wearing a title belt.
Turns out this girl has just become an MMA champ while using my workout programs. And that’s just the beginning of the story…
Like many MMA fighters, Aaron Cook has been practicing some form of martial arts since he was a kid. He used the discipline and drive he learned to get him through life, and right after high school, he put that work ethic in action when he joined the United States Marine Corps Infantry, serving 4 tours overseas.
After getting out of the Marines, he soon chose to continue his service and joined the US Coast Guard.
Along the way, his love for martial arts grew, and of course with it, a desire to compete in MMA.
He made his debut in 2008, and although he put forth a valiant effort, he quickly learned – like so many young fighters do – that a stand-up game alone wasn’t going to cut it. He needed grappling.
But that wasn’t all he needed – he needed to get in much better shape. Sucking wind in a fight…well…sucked.
As he recently told me:
Before he knew it, he was using my programs.
Aaron about to do another set of complexes while wearing a training mask
It only took Aaron 12 weeks before he – and his training partners – saw the incredible effect the workouts were having:
He felt like a “completely different fighter”.
Soon after, Aaron had his next fight. He put in a valiant effort, but his skills just weren’t up to par quite yet – he still had things to learn. But there was one area he knew he had locked down – his conditioning.
That combined with an even more intense drive during his workouts, and Aaron began steamrolling through opponents with ease – even beating guys that were as much as 30lbs heavier than him.
Aaron “ground & pounding” his way to his 2nd MMA title
He’s since gone on to win Welterweight titles in 2 different MMA promotions, winning his most recent belt via tapout. Evidently, his opponent couldn’t take all the strikes Aaron was raining down…while having him in a Top Triangle choke.
Aaron’s efforts haven’t just won him titles, though. His results and outstanding conditioning caught the eye of promoters, and he’s been cast for the upcoming season of Global Proving Ground’s MMA reality show – “Warrior Island”. He’s already back in the gym training, and he’s set to start filming in just a few weeks.
Oh, and that girl whose picture was on my Facebook page? Well that’s Aaron’s girlfriend, Sara Vankammen. Turns out she’s a fighter, too and had the chance to fight for a regional MMA title belt.
Aaron immediately got her on my workouts.
The result? Win by submission – standing guillotine in the 2nd round. Felt better than she ever had before, and didn’t even get winded.
Looks like Aaron and Sara and gonna need a bigger mantle for all those titles.
So just what impact did these workouts really have on Aaron’s career? I’ll let him tell you:
And it was all thanks to Wiggy’s programs.”
This is the way stars start out their career.
Keep an eye on Aaron – and Sara – they’re both going to be making GIANT waves in the MMA world.
